Everyone Has A Story by Savi Sharma is a simplistic romance novel with a theme that true love eventually manifests in good ending. It also tells us the story of three friends who have immense faith in each other and go any extent to support each other. The beauty of the novel lies in describing the pains of love and happiness in a very simple way. There are no outlandish scenes. It also reinforces the facts we already know in our lives.
The central character Meera is a naive and curious girl who has a desire to write a book to change the lives of other people. She regularly visits a café where a lot of book launches are organised. Kabir, the manager of the café is a very friendly person. Vivaan is a bank executive who plans to escape his life in traveling. Fate introduces him to Meera and Meera thinks she has finally found her story in Vivaan. Vivaan on the other hand points out to Kabir as the inspiration to the story. Together they find out about Kabir’s love for a customer Nisha and his lack of finances to marry her. Vivaan writes a cheque for Kabir to start his own café under a partnership.
Then one day Vivaan suddenly disappears leaving Meera heartbroken. Vivaan travels around the world to, only to realise that he misses Meera. He returns back as Meera heads to the publisher to submit the manuscript which is rejected for being incomplete.
Vivaan apologises and reveals his aloofness to his past marriage attempt. He loved a girl and she was raped and killed on the day of their marriage. This shatters Meera.
The novel has a filmi ending.
