Actress Terri J. Vaughn is a mom

Awarding winning actress Terri J. Vaughn (“The Steve Harvey Show” and “Daddy’s Little Girls) and her husband, Karon Riley (Defensive Lineman for Arena Football League’s Cleveland Gladiators) welcomed a son, Kal’El Joseph Riley. The 7lbs, 6 oz baby boy arrived April 21, 2008 at 6:05 p.m. in Los Angeles.
Vaughn and Riley eloped this past January in Las Vegas. Although, this is their first child together, Vaughn has a six-year-old son, Daylen Ali from her first marriage.
Terri J. Vaughn is best known for her role as the sassy “Lovita” on The Steve Harvey Show. Vaughn has appeared in such films as Daddy’s Little Girls, Dirty Laundry and on television in Soul Food, All of Us, ER and Girlfriends. Vaughn recently produced and starred in her documentary, Angels Can’t Help But Laugh.
In 1997, Vaughn founded a non-profit corporation, Take Wings Foundation (TWF). TWF provides adolescent females (ages 13-18) living in public housing and foster care in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area with the mentorship, life skills and leadership skills they need to succeed in life as well as an environment where they are supported in becoming confident, caring and contributing adults.
