PUSMA Felicitation to SSC / HSC Toppers

Quality school education, in many prominent areas surrounding Mumbai (Thane district) is delivered by private unaided schools, which continue to render yeomen service to society. These schools, established and managed by Public Charitable Trusts, are known for their commitment and play a vital role in the field of Education.

‘PUSMA’ – ‘Private Unaided School Managements’ Association’ is a forum formed exclusively to tackle, in a united fashion, the problems faced by Unaided Schools. These problems have a direct impact on school education in the areas situated in the periphery of Mumbai, and impact India’s future citizens.

In an appraisal of sorts, as regards the quality of education rendered by these schools, PUSMA President Bharat Malik initiated the ‘Celebration of Excellence’, which was celebrated as a felicitation
function for Schools and Students for their outstanding performance at the SSC/ HSC examinations in March 2008.

The event was held on Saturday, 26 July from 4 pm at Arya Gurukul, Vidyanagari, Nandivali Village, Haji Malang Road, Kalyan (East).

PUSMA was set up to build up a bridge and create a common platform for the Managements of various unaided schools to interact and exchange views concerning up gradation of the education system.

‘PUSMA’ came to existence in the year 2001. It is a body Registered under BPT Act 1950 & Society’s Act. ‘PUSMA’ membership includes nearly 60 Managements of unaided schools, from areas like Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai, Dahanu, Talasari and Mira Road.
