Alia Bhatt is known for kindness and cute looks. She is all ready for her new venture as an investor. Alia Bhatt has invested in IIT Kanpur-backed startup Phool. Phool has pioneered flower cycling technologies to upcycle cellulose waste it specializes in manufacturing charcoal-free incense and other wellness products.

Alia is officially the new phool girl in town. She shared the news on her Instagram account and wrote. “One step closer to a greener Earth with @phool.co!🍃

Made for us. Made for our planet. Made by women. Excited to now be a #PhoolGirl🌸🌸”

In one of the posts she also wrote, Lots of friends asked me why I invested in an incense company. I say what if it’s an incense company that can save the planet?

Phool incense is made from recycled flowers so it is carbon-free and helps keep our rivers clean. Phool also makes bio-leather from recycled flowers and this ‘Fleather’ is a humane alternative to leather.

The company provides employment to women in India’s heartland. I fell in love with Phool’s fine fragrance and packaging from the time a friend gifted me a Phool hamper last Diwali.

I believe Phool incense and Fleather have the potential to truly wow the world and showcase Indian innovation globally.

With my investment, I’m backing this belief and the amazing team led by a visionary founder at Phool.

Phool.co is India’s first wellness brand to have both Fair for Life- Fairtrade and Ecocert Organic & Natural certifications.  Phool.co had raised US $ 2 Million in a seed round from IAN Fund, Social Alpha (FISE), Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (San Francisco), and IIT Kanpur.

On the work front, Alia is occupied with a lot of work. She has finished shooting for Darlings, also co-produced by her. One of her most-anticipated films is SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which will mark Alia’s debut in the South Indian cinema. She will also be seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
