Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) revealed on October 16 a new option for clients to personalise the BBJ 737-7 cabin furnishings, which will save costs and speed up the delivery of new VIP jets. By providing a variety of pre-designed cabin layouts and options through BBJ Select, Boeing can speed up installation while reducing the overall cost of the aeroplane.
At the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), which took place in Las Vegas, the company demonstrated its brand-new BBJ Select luxury interiors.
Boeing Business Jets is offering clients a new, streamlined approach to developing a one-of-a-kind, pleasant, and functional interior for our BBJ 737-7 jet, said BBJ President Joe Benson. “The goal is to provide BBJ customers with a product that exceeds their expectations in every way, he said, adding that for clients who may not have the time or want to construct a unique interior, BBJ Select offers pre-designed alternatives to outfit their cabin. This enables BBJ to offer the aircraft at a very appealing, fixed price, the company says on its website.
Customers can customise their aircraft with a wide range of modules, such as living quarters for the whole family, sleeping quarters for individual passengers, workspaces for business travellers, and special seating arrangements for VIPs. There are 144 possible modular cabin configurations to choose from with BBJ Select, and customers have their pick of three colour schemes. All possible private, corporate, and presidential jet needs can be met by these alternatives.
BBJ Select plans to save costs for one-time engineering and related work to install a clean sheet cabin design. These layouts were designed in partnership with Aloft AeroArchitects and Greenpoint Technologies, two companies that have won awards for their work completing business jets. Customers sign a single contract with Boeing, and the latter corporation manages the entire process of designing, building, and delivering the VIP aircraft with all its amenities. This streamlines the purchasing process.
The BBJ 737-7, the newest member of the BBJ 737 MAX family, is the only aircraft that will offer the BBJ Select cabins entirely. Compared to earlier generations of business jets, the BBJ 737-7 uses less fuel and produces fewer pollutants while offering an unrivalled mix of world-spanning range, superior cabin capacity, and best-in-class operating economics. This enables it to transport passengers nonstop for over 15 hours while reducing the time spent in flight. The company says BBJs are distinguished from their rivals by their significantly increased dependability and greater capacity to hold onto their initial investment.
