B-town always has something or the other going on. But 38 celebrities together in legal trouble is indeed something astonishing. The news came as a shocker for everyone when the case was filed against these 38 celebrities, including Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Akshay Kumar. A Delhi-based lawyer has filed a case requesting the arrest of 38 Indian celebrities for revealing the name of the rape victim on their social media platforms.

Two years ago, a horrible incident happened and the entire nation was disturbed and shocked. A doctor was raped, murdered, and burned alive on the outskirts of Hyderabad near a toll plaza by four brutes. During that time, many protests, candle marches were held and many celebrities from Bollywood, Tollywood and other film industries raised their voices, demanding justice for the innocent victim. Some celebrities revealed the name of the victim on social media and now that has landed them in legal trouble.

A case has been filed against 38 Indian celebrities from Bollywood and Tollywood including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Anupam Kher, Farhan Akhtar, Maharaja Ravi Teja, Allu Sirish, Charmme Kaur, among others for revealing the identity of the victim on their social media platforms.

According to law, it is unethical and forbidden to use the real name of rape victims on any media or any public platform.

Hence, Delhi-based lawyer Gaurav Gulati has filed a complaint against the 38 celebrities, including Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, under IPC section 228 A and has also filed a petition at the Tis Hazari Court.

Gaurav Gulati has asked for an immediate arrest of these celebrities alleging that instead of setting an example for others these celebrities forgot their moral ethics and failed to show their social responsibility towards the society.
