It has been disclosed that beginning on December 16, users can access the television show Black Adam on HBO Max.

Black Adam, a character from the DC Cinematic Universe, is comparable to Deadpool, a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both are obscure characters that were brought to the big screen with the help of an established actor. The movie explains where Black Adam came from and introduces the Justice Society, a team of heroes that existed before the Justice League. Pierce Brosnan, Viola Davis, Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, and Quintess Swindell are all made uncomfortable by Dwayne Johnson’s presence.

It was Johnson’s best opening weekend for a solo film, grossing $67 million in the United States during October when the movie was released. In addition, the movie grossed millions of dollars in international markets during its opening weekend, contributing to its total of 140 million worldwide.

When it was first revealed that Black Adam was a financial failure at the beginning of the month, there was a lot of excitement in the media. According to Variety, the movie’s production set the company back $195 million, and marketing it set them back another $100 million. As a direct consequence of this, the movie may incur losses of up to one hundred million dollars during its run in theatres. Later on, Deadline reported that the film would end up being profitable. Johnson was the one who verified this information.

Additionally, it has been noted that other initiatives based on the DC Universe are not yet making significant progress in the work they are doing (the release of the film “Wonder Woman 3” may be cancelled). James Gunn, the chief executive and co-head of DC Studios, provided clarification that the plans are shifting; however, things will become apparent shortly as a roadmap for the way forward for the DC Universe is presented to the CEO of Warner Bros. the following week. Credit for the discovery goes to David Zaslav.
