Evaluating Tejas Mk 1A's Radar Cross Section: Does India's LCA Have Real Stealth Capability?

The Tejas Mk1A features stealth shaping, such as aligned edges, to decrease radar reflections. Its estimated frontal RCS is 0.5 m2, which is better than the Rafale but not as stealthy as the F-22. Small size improves stealth, however twin tails and canards increase RCS. Weapons carrying also increases radar signature. Overall, the fighter's stealth is modest given its expense.
