Is This Mysterious New DRDO DATRAN 1500 Engine & Bharat Power Pack the Magic Bullet for Arjun Tank?

The Arjun tank used a German engine, which caused delays owing to supply chain concerns. India's DRDO is developing the DATRAN 1500, a strong indigenous engine producing 50% more horsepower. Technical data are scant, but leaks indicate a 12-cylinder, 1500 horsepower turbocharged engine. This engine, integrated into the Bharat Powerpack, intends to achieve self-sufficiency in future Arjun tank variants.
