Netflix’s The Kissing Booth 3 is the latest installment in the cringe rom-com film series. As the tagline of The Kissing booth says one last time. The film has been marked as the end of a trilogy. Based on Beth Reekles’ book series of the same name, The Kissing Booth 3 wraps up the franchise. The final chapter in Elle (Joey King), (Jacob Elordi) and Lee’s (Joel Courtney) teenage lives comes to a fairly satisfying conclusion.

‘The Kissing Booth 3’ star Joey King recently cleared up about how she made sure that her EP duties are completely availed to send off the series in the right manner.

Joey King has received a lot of appreciation for her role as Elle in the newly released ‘The Kissing Booth 3’. She opened up about how she was involved in the most crucial areas of the film as an executive producer of the movie The Kissing Booth. As the actor had been a part of the franchise from the time she was 17, she spoke about her experience and explained how lucky she felt.

Joey King was very excited about giving the right send-off for ‘The Kissing Booth 3.’ According to the reports by Variety, Joey King, actor and one of the executive producers of the recently released The Kissing Booth 3, opened up about her involvement in the project in one of the heaviest areas. She stated, ‘Finding the right way to do the send-off and figuring out what was best for the final edit was probably the largest area that I was involved in. That was very exciting for me, because I just want to make sure that for me, for all the filmmakers and for all the fans, that our send-off was just right. I really hope they feel that way.’

As in the last installment, Joey King’s character, Elle, arrives at a conclusion after having an intense conversation with Lee and Noah’s mother, Molly. She realizes that in order to make those she loves happy, she completely lost herself in the process. Having become a keen Mario Kart enthusiast, Elle applies to the University of Southern California to study video game design and gets in, while Noah and Lee’s mother decides not to sell the beach house after all.

At the end of the film, we fast-forward to six years in the future, with Elle, Lee and Rachel reuniting at their high school charity fair. Elle is now sporting a short hairdo and is designing her own video game, while Lee and Rachel did eventually get back together and are now engaged.

They stumble across the Kissing Booth stand, surprised to find that the students kept it going even after they left. They bump into Noah, who is deciding whether to accept job offers at law firms in either LA or New York, and suggest to Elle that they go for a motorcycle ride while he’s in town. The film ends with a shot of the two of them riding their motorcycles across California.

Speaking about her character and the decision she made, Joey King said, ‘I think it’s so nice that Elle gets to be her own person and make those decisions that are best for her, which is really hard to do.’

The Kissing Booth trilogy may be over, but the memories will always remain. The last chapter of the movie was released on August 11, 2021, on Netflix.
