The Ace EV, an electric version of the tremendously successful Ace, started being shipped out by Tata Motors on January 9th of this year. The new Ace EV from TATA is being billed as India’s most advanced zero-emission four-wheel compact commercial vehicle (SCV). The company release states that it is an innovative and environmentally friendly transportation solution that can serve a wide variety of intra-city applications. The price begins at 9.99 lakhs ex-showroom.
Amazon, Flipkart, DHL (Express & Supply Chain), FedEx, Delhivery, MoEVing, Safexpress, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, and Trent Limited are among the companies that have received the first fleet of Ace EVs to go into production, said the TAT release.
The Ace EV is the first product to utilise Tata Motors’ EVOGEN powertrain, which has an unheard-of certified range of 154 kilometres and is the company’s first electric vehicle. It enables reliable operation in any weather condition and comes equipped with a cutting-edge battery cooling system and regenerative braking mechanism that extend the vehicle’s range. The vehicle is capable of both standard and rapid recharging, allowing for optimum uptime during charging. It has a maximum cargo volume of 208 feet and a grade-ability of 22%, making it possible to climb easily even when it is fully laden thanks to its motor, which has a power output of 27 kW (36 hp) and a peak torque of 130 Nm. The container that comes with the Ace EV is made of lightweight and robust materials, making them perfect for use in e-commerce logistics.
The Ace EV comes standard with a comprehensive solution for e-cargo transportation and a 5-year maintenance plan. According to the TATA release, the customers’ responses indicate that they are quite satisfied with its dependable performance and its availability at all times.
