There is an earthquake in Maharashtra politics after Union Minister Narayan Rane’s objectionable statement on Uddhav Thackeray. Narayan Rane was arrested in Ratnagiri’s Chiplun. Union Minister Narayan Rane’s anticipatory bail plea was rejected. Now he will be produced in the local court. On getting the remand, he will be taken to Nashik.

Narayan Rane has filed a bail application in the Bombay High Court

According to the information, Narayan Rane has filed a petition for bail in the Bombay High Court. Apart from this, three FIRs have been registered against him. Rane has demanded to cancel these FIR’s. However, the Bombay High Court has refused to hear the matter immediately.

Cannot arrest him without warrant says BJP

BJP leader Pramod Jathar said that Rane cannot be taken to custody without a warrant. According to Jetha, Ratnagiri police came to take Narayan Rane into custody. But when we asked them to show the warrant of arrest, they did not have any warrant. Police said we are under pressure and have been asked to arrest Rane in 5 minutes. We told the police that there is a protocol to detain a union minister, which is mandatory to be followed. No one can be detained without a warrant.

Rane’s controversial statement on Thackeray

Narayan Rane is on a Jan Ashirwad Yatra in different parts of Maharashtra. Addressing reporters in Mahad in Raigad, Narayan Rane commented on Uddhav Thackeray, ‘What kind of Chief Minister is this who does not know his country’s Independence Day. “Had I been there, I would have slapped him under the ear,” he said.

Shiv Sena’s angry protest

The Shiv Sena has created a ruckus over Rane’s statement demanding the removal of Rane from the post of Union minister. Shiv Sena’s Lok Sabha MP Vinayak Raut wrote a letter to PM Modi demanded immediate removal of Rane from the position of Union minister.

Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut wrote in his letter that the language used by Rane for the CM of the state in the Patrakar Parishad is highly condemnable. If a Union minister forgets his dignity like Narayan Rane and uses such language, I think he has no right to continue in his post.

I have not committed any crime

FIRs have been registered against Rane at many places in Mumbai for using derogatory words on Uddhav Thackeray. Rane said, ‘I do not know about the FIR against me. I am not an ordinary person. I have not committed any crime. If someone doesn’t know about August 15, isn’t it a crime? I said I would have slapped – these words were mine, and it is not a crime.’
