A new vaccination center was set up in Powai’s Jain Temple and inaugurated on 24th March, 2021. The center has already started vaccinating people.

The center was opened with the efforts of BJP nominated MGCM councilor Shriniwas Tripathi and Jain Temple. The COVID-19  Vaccination Center was inaugurated by Manoj Kotak, MP and Northeast Mumbai’s BJP Karyasamrat.

For people of age 18 – 45, the second dose of vaccine is available and for those above the age of 60 have a walking registration service.

Local Corporator Vaishali Shrikant Patil, along with C.A. Sanjay Khemani – National Secretary Bharat Vikas Parishad, Rishikesh Joshi – Nagar Sanghchalak, RSS Powai, all the trustees, office bearers and activists of Shwetambar pagan Jain Charitable Trust, Powai and Shantinath Medical Charitable Trust were also present on the inauguration. All the office bearers and activists of Bharatiya Janata Party’s 122 ward were present. In addition, Mahesh Sharma – President Maharashtra Konkan Province, C. A. Seemant Pradhan Convener – Vaccine Project Maharashtra Konkan Province, Dr. Neeraj Tulara – President Powai Chandivali Shaka and Sunil Agarwal – Convener – Vaccine Project Powai Chandivali Shaka were also present.
