Teen flees home after getting scolded by parents for spending Rs.10 Lakhs on PUBG, from Jogeshwari, Mumbai, police said on Friday. 

A missing case of a 16-year-old boy was filed on Wednesday, since the boy was a minor the police registered a case of kidnapping. 

During the probe, it was found that he was addicted to PUBG. He took Rs.10 lakhs from his mother’s account to purchase the game’s ID, UC (Unknown Cash, virtual currency for the game). After they scolded him, he fled from home and left a note saying he won’t return, said Datta Nalawade, DCP, Crime Branch. 

The boy was traced to the Mahakali Caves area in Andheri on Thursday. He was Counselled by the police and handed over to the family. The availability of electronic devices to children is very common nowadays. As a parent, everyone should monitor children’s activities on social media and games, said the official.
