The new bride’s love of pizza is second only to that of her husband. ” She only speaks of hers if she dreams of her at night,” said her friends. The new groom hopes to be able to eat even more.
” One pizza a month” is among the top of the list condition of the marriage contract signed by an Indian couple. The couple’s friends drew up a text, therefore not strictly binding, but it has been seen over 45 million times ever since it was uploaded to the social media on June 22nd. The 16-second video portrays the couple signing the contract, which was shared the day after the wedding.
The clause included in the contract mainly aims to satisfy the bride’s wishes, 24-year-old Shanti Prasad, who is defined by her friends as “a pizza freak”. She married her college fiancé Mintu Rai, 25, in a conservative traditional ceremony in Assam’s capital Guwahati. The duo met five years ago, in college, first became friends and then, in February 2018, went out on their first date as a couple. And as per her friends, the brides love for pizza is second only to hers for her newly wed husband.
”We skipped our last lesson” and headed over a pizzeria near the college… I knew I had to take her the pizzeria as “she always talked about pizza” said Mintu, quoted by the BBC. ”I really like pizzas” admitted the bride adding that If she could, she would always say, “let’s go and eat pizza”. The couple say they have never fought over food, “at least not really”, said Mintu, but Shanti said Mintu always complained to his friends. Mintu said he got annoyed every time he had to eat a pizza, and that became the subject of jokes among their friends.
Her love of pizza is second only to that of Mintu, said a friend Raghav Thakur and in his opinion, she thinks of pizza in her spare time and even in her sleep. Raghav is the one who came up with the surprise marriage contract.
