The Novosibirsk instrument-making Plant has developed augmented reality glasses for integration into the equipment of the Ratnik infantryman, the Russian version of the future infantry combat system.
Speaking to RIA Novosti, a source in the Russian military-industrial complex, said the glasses allow displaying additional information from the command on the glazing, displaying an electronic sight and broadcasting video from external sources, mainly showing the soldier an image of the terrain from drones.
The goggles can be equipped with a night vision system and a thermal imager. The degree of their protection is similar to the protective binocular goggles, also included in the Ratnik outfit.
The estimated cost of one set of glasses will be over seven thousand US Dollars.
