Huawei unveils 5nm octa-core Kirin 9006C processor in Qingyun L540 laptops

Huawei recently announced its new Qingyun L540 laptop series, which is intended for the domestic Chinese market and features the 5nm Kirin 9006C SoC processor. These laptops continue the L410 series, which uses the Kirin 990 SoC CPU. The new laptops are equipped with the more sophisticated 5nm Kirin 9006C SoC processor, built by Hisilicon and based on ARM architecture. This processor can give up to 8 cores.

Four Cortex A77 cores and four Cortex A55 cores are included in the processor’s configuration. The frequency of operation for the primary Cortex A77 core can reach up to 3.13 GHz, while the frequency of operation for the other cores is found to be 2.54 GHz. The cores of the Cortex A55 include a clock speed that can reach up to 2.05 GHz. In addition to that, the system-on-a-chip incorporates a Mali-G78 MP22 graphics processor, which is integrated.

The Huawei Qingyun L540 laptops have a 14-inch display with a maximum resolution of up to 2160×1440 and a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz. Additionally, the display has a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz. The panel supports one hundred per cent of the sRGB colour gamut. A fingerprint reader, a high-definition camera, one USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, one audio connector, one HDMI output, and a small RJ45 LAN port are among the input/output ports included on the laptops. Their batteries have a capacity of 56 watt-hours.

The Huawei Qingyun has a RAM configuration that can reach up to 16 gigabytes and a solid-state drive (SSD) that can reach up to 512 gigabytes in storage. The same 8-core Kirin 9006C processor powers every laptop.
