Rosoboronexport’s Arsenal Grows – Offers More Than 90 Small Arms Types for Military & Special Units

In a press release dated September 19, Rosoboronexport stated that Russian arms manufacturers have considerably expanded their product offerings over the past five years. Due to the high level of competition in the global market, the diversification of the market into narrower segments, the optimisation of production management, and the emergence of new actors in the national arms circuit, engineering and design competencies are advancing rapidly.

Alexander Mikheev, the general director of Rosoboronexport, stated that the company can provide its partners with more than 90 types of small arms to meet the requirements of any army or special unit. In addition, the export catalogue of the company contains over 50 varieties of civilian and military weapons in high demand among the police and special agencies of Russia’s partner nations. He stated that the company offers high-precision rifles, carbines, pistols, and hunting rifles for sale.

Kalashnikov AK-308 and AK-19 assault rifles, Chukavina SHF sniper rifle, Lebedev PLC pistol, Kalashnikov PPK-submachine gun 20, Kord 6P68 and 6P67 assault rifles with balanced automatics, a high-precision Kord-338LM bullpup rifle, and the ShAK-12 assault rifle complex are among the most recent models promoted by Rosoboronexport on the international market.

Among civilian and service weapons, the top positions in their market segments are occupied by high-precision rifles ORSIS T-5000, ORSIS F-17 and large-caliber ORSIS 12.7 mm, rifles of the Bespoke Gun brand – Raptor, Phantom and Elegance Exclusive, which debuted in 2023, as well as high-precision rifles from Lobaev Arms: DXL-5 “Devastator”, TSVL-8 M5 “Dominator” and DVL-10 M3 “Wolfhound”.

Traditional small arms manufacturers for the military are also prevalent in the civilian arms market. Specifically, “High-Precision Complexes” offers the MTs-566 and MTs-560 carbines, while the Kalashnikov Concern provides the Saiga-9 autoloading carbine, the MP-135 “Tactics” pump-action shotgun, and the MR1 autoloading hunting carbine.

According to the release, all contemporary Russian small arms, including civilian and military models, are of superior quality, convenient, and technologically advanced. They feature superior ergonomics, user adaptability, and tactical and technical prowess. The design permits convenient and straightforward mounting of sights and tactical accoutrements, ensuring effective use in various conditions. In addition, according to the press release, unique design solutions enable them to execute firearms skills regardless of anthropometric data and the presence of different equipment and uniforms.

According to a Rosoboronexport press release, the company offers foreign clients rifle systems for the most complex combat and special missions. They include a variety of day, night, thermal imaging, and holographic sights manufactured by Rostec’s Shvabe holding, the Infratech and Daedal brands, as well as sniper, armour-piercing, armour-piercing incendiary, and tracer ammunition manufactured in Russia.

Alexander Mikheev asserts that some small arms prototypes presented by Rosoboronexport on the global market have already been field-tested and modified by manufacturers in response to direct feedback from the battlefield. Alexander Mikheev underlined that they best fulfil the requirements of modern military operations in terms of tactical, technical, operational features, and ergonomics. Simultaneously, Russian businesses continue to expand the variety of manufactured samples. He added that Rosoboronexport will debut one of the new Kalashnikov Concern products at the Dubai AirShow exhibition in November 2023.
