The Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has announced the formalisation of a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of firms. This agreement aims to supply green power for approximately 25 years under the Group Captive Scheme.
Under the agreement, the group firm Force Motors Limited, a completely vertically integrated vehicle company, will utilise 6.2MW AC power for 25 years and consume 13.64 Million units (MU) of power annually. This will mark the beginning of a journey that is both more environmentally friendly and more sustainable. In addition, Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited will also utilise 7.0 megawatts of alternating current power for 25 years and consume 15.4 million units (MU for each year).
The formation of this alliance represents a significant step forward in developing sustainable energy solutions through the participation of strategic partners.
This ambitious project, which is situated in Achegaon, Maharashtra, boasts a capacity of 13.2 megawatts alternating current (MW AC), intending to produce a total of 29.04 million units (MUs) of power on an annual basis. As part of TPREL’s commitment to developing environmentally friendly energy alternatives, this project is anticipated to reduce approximately 21,200 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Following signing the Power Development Agreement (PDA), the project is expected to be finished within one year.
This group’s captive solar power facility will be managed and maintained by TPREL, which will also be responsible for its development and management. Through the formation of this cooperation, TPREL demonstrates its unwavering dedication to directing the energy industry towards more environmentally responsible practices. As captive customers, Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited would be able to reap the benefits of a dependable power supply and would also have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the advancement of environmental sustainability.
