Huawei officially introduces Harmony 2.0 operating system for smartphones

Harmony OS 2.0

Chinese technology giant Huawei has officially introduced a new operating system Harmony 2.0 for smartphones. Huawei has introduced a number of new products for global release, but the main novelty was the operating system Harmony 2.0.

Harmony has been around since 2019, but the second-generation version will run for the first time on a much wider range of Huawei products, from smartphones, tablets, smart watches and smart TVs.

With  Harmony 2.0, Huawei now has its own alternative to Google’s Android system and Apple iOS system. The company expects that by the end of 2021 the number of devices from Harmony will reach 300 million.

The other products Huawei has released include the MatePadPro tablet and the smart watch Watch 3, new wireless headphones called FreeBuds 4, a stylus, etc.
