Director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild have been selected to fly to the International Space Station (ISS), where they will shoot the film “Vyzov”(The Challenge), said the press release from Channel One.
Alena Mordovina and Alexei Dudin have been selected as the backup crew,” said the press release.
As per Russian Space Agency Roscosmos, one of the casting participants, a graduate of the Krasnokutsk Flight School, Galina Kireva, has been asked to continue the selection process to cosmonaut corps on a professional basis.
The movie crew will depart for the ISS with the crew of Soyuz MS-19. The movie will be shot on ISS for 12-days and the cast will return to back to Earth onboard Soyuz MS-18.
On March 9, Roskosmos reported that 20 finalists were selected to take part in the filming of the film Vyzov.
The movie is being jointly made by the Roscosmos, Channel One, studio Yellow, Black and White.
