The US has shared concerns with India over its agreement with Russia to supply Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems , US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in an interview with the Times of India on the State Department’s website.
” Well, we have – we have our laws. We’ll – we apply our laws, but we shared our concerns with India about this. But I’m not going to get ahead of myself. We’ll see how things evolve in the coming months,” Blinken said, answering a question about S-400.
Earlier, Indian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Datla Bala Venkatesh Varma confirmed that the first batch of S-400 air defense systems will arrive in India by the end of 2021.
In October 2018, Moscow and New Delhi signed a contract for the supply of five regimental sets of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems worth more than $ 5 billion. This deal has already been called the largest in the history of Rosoboronexport . Settlements for export air defense systems will be made in rubles.
