Business reality series Shark Tank will now have an Indian edition. The popular show is collaborating with Venture Catalysts, an Indian incubator for startups, to bring ‘Shark Tank India’ into the Indian Business habitat. Registrations for the first edition of Shark Tank India are currently underway on SonyLIV.
Produced by StudioNEXT, a content unit of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), the third largest startup ecosystem in the world is all set to bring out the new generation of Indian Entrepreneurs.
On the show, a good business pitch might be enough to turn an entrepreneurial dream into reality. On the show, unique and interesting experienced investors & business experts will evaluate business ideas, business prototypes or active businesses.
Shark Tank is the US version of a 2001 Japanese show ‘Tigers of Money’ by Nippon TV. The show was adopted in the UK as ‘Dragon’s Den’ in 2005. The US version premiered in 2009 and ever since that, the term ‘Sharks’ and ‘Shark Tanks’ has spread across the world. Sony Pictures Television distributes internationally the format.
