After landing in huge trouble Honey Singh has assured the court that he will not sell his UAE villa because his wife Shalini Talwar also owns the rights of the property. In the latest hearing of the court, Honey Singh said that he will not sell his property without the consent of his wife.

During the last hearing, Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar filed an application in court in a domestic violence case alleging that her husband is in the process of creating third-party rights and disposing of certain assets in Dubai.

Following the application, the Delhi court issued a notice to Honey Singh of restraining orders from creating third-party rights of the immovable and movable assets owned by him or his companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Honey Singh’s wife has claimed that he has a “posh villa” in Dubai measuring 333.73 square meters which Honey Singh had purchased for her through one of his companies incorporated abroad.

Shalini Talwar told the court that her husband had executed a General Power of Attorney on November 19, 2019, in her favour, giving her rights and control over all his movable and immovable assets situated in UAE. She said that there is a “grave apprehension” that her husband may revoke that General Power of Attorney. She has requested the court to restrain Honey Singh from revoking the power of attorney, from disposing of or creating third-party rights of assets he owns in Dubai individually or through his company.

The next hearing will now be heard on 28 September 2021. Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar had filed a case of domestic violence, mental harassment, financial fraud and sexual violence against the 38-year-old musician, his parents and his younger sister in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court on August 3. She had also asked for Rs 20 crore as compensation from him under the Protection of Women From Domestic Violence Act.

In the complaint, Talwar has accused Singh of going to extreme lengths to hide the fact that he was married, cheated on her and became addicted to alcohol and drugs. She said he had ‘casual sex with multiple women’ and would not take her on his singing tours.

Honey Singh had issued a statement calling the allegations ‘false and malicious’.
