On Saturday evening, NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) raided Armaan Kohli’s house in the course of its Operation Rolling Thunder. The Operation Rolling Thunder was launched by Sameer Wankhede and under this operation, 15 places in Mumbai were raided on Saturday morning. NCB raided the Juhu residence of the Bollywood actor. After searching the house for hours, they recovered a small quantity of cocaine.
Following the raid at Armaan Kohli’s residence, he was taken in for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drugs case.
The NCB Zonal Director (Mumbai) Sameer Wankhede said, “After the raid, actor Armaan Kohli gave ambiguous answers to questions put up by NCB. He was then taken to custody for questioning at the NCB office.”
NCB conducted the raid after the arrest of a drug peddler Ajay Raju Singh, who was found near Haji Ali Dargah in Worli. NCB recovered 25 grams of MD from Ajay. He allegedly supplies drugs to film and TV personalities. During interrogation, he revealed some information based on which Armaan Kohli’s residence was raided.
This is not the first time Armaan Kohli has ended up in legal trouble. Even before the former Big Boss 7 contestant in 2018, was arrested by the Excise department for possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence, which was against the law.
Earlier Gaurav Dixit was arrested in connection with a drugs case by the Mumbai zonal team of the Narcotics Control Bureau, on Friday.
Armaan has reportedly been arrested under sections 21 (a), 27 (a), 28, 29, 30, & 35 of NDPS Act. Ajay has been arrested under sections 22b (a), 27A, 28, 29, 30, & 35. Armaan was taken for a medical examination on Sunday morning. He will also be produced in a special holiday court today.
Armaan Kohli is known for his film ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’. The actor has also featured in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. He was also the contestant of the controversial TV reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan.
