ODK-Perm Motors, a State Corporation Rostec’s United Engine Corporation subsidiary, has completed the annual production plan for ground-based gas turbine units. The reliability indicators surpass the requirements of the technical specifications.
The enterprise’s management disclosed this information during an “ODK-Perm Motors” meeting regarding implementing industrial gas turbine engines at PJSC Gazprom’s facilities.
The agenda items for the meeting comprised the execution of repair and production initiatives for gas turbine engines in 2023, the assessment of reliability indicators for industrial engines manufactured by “ODK-Perm Motors” and operated by PJSC Gazprom structures, and strategies to expand and modernise “ODK-Perm Motors'” production base.
The implementation of gas turbine engines from the “PS” and “PD” series at PJSC Gazprom’s newly constructed and renovated facilities by 2030, as well as the installation of low-emission combustion chambers on industrial engines PS-90GP-2 and PS-90GP-25, are among the proposals.
At the behest of Gazprom, the company established a high-tech industry over three decades ago that is self-sufficient and capable of withstanding any challenges, said the Managing Director-General Designer of ODK-Aviadvigatel Alexander Inozemtsev. He added that Perm engine builders are prepared to actively participate in modernising Russia’s gas transportation system, supply Gazprom with their finest equipment, and ensure uninterrupted operation of gas turbine units at operating facilities.
Since 1992, NPK “Perm Motors” and Gazprom have maintained a collaborative partnership. Gazprom has produced over 800 gas turbine units (GTUs) during this period, which accounts for 64 per cent of the total number of GTUs produced. Gazprom’s apparatus possessed a combined capacity of 12.6 GW, which accounted for 78% of the overall capacity of the GTU fleet. The cumulative operating time surpassed 21 million hours, constituting over fifty per cent of the fleet’s total operating time.
