Poland: “One of Moscow’s rockets violated our airspace.”

One of Russia’s cruise missiles launched on Ukraine last night briefly violated Polish airspace. The claim comes from the Polish armed forces via a post on X.

“The object entered Polish airspace near the town of Oserdow and remained there for 39 seconds.” “Throughout the entire flight, it was tracked by military radar systems.”

In a message posted on X, the Polish armed forces state that “the Operational Command of the Armed Forces has observed intense long-range air activity by the Russian Federation, related to air and missile attacks on objects located in Ukrainian territory,” as a result of which “all necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Polish airspace.” “We warn,” it continues, “that Polish and allied aircraft have been activated, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country.”

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on X that “Poland will seek clarification from Russia regarding a new violation of the country’s airspace.” “Above all, we ask the Russian Federation to cease terrorist air attacks against the inhabitants and territories of Ukraine.”
