Russian Black Sea Fleet successfully fends off an attack by surface drones

The Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet successfully fended off an attack by enemy surface drones on the morning of March 22, wrote Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev on March 22 on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor of Sevastopol, three enemy targets attempting to reach the harbour were destroyed by Russian armed forces using small weapons.

Razvozhaev added that the Black Sea Fleet’s ships were unharmed and that air defence systems had been effective against an aerial target.

Concurrently, he mentioned that the House of Moscow had experienced damaged windows due to the explosion of downed enemy naval drones in the buildings on Lenina 2 but that no one had been hurt.

The Russian military repelled the attack of hostile drones on Sevastopol with confidence and composure. Everything is under control at this point. All operational services are prepared, Razvozhaev added, asking people to rely exclusively on official reports.

Earlier reports indicated that maritime transportation in Sevastopol was halted on Wednesday morning.

At daybreak on October 29, 2022, planes and seaborne drones assaulted the seas of Sevastopol Bay, but they did not cause significant infrastructure damage. All UAVs were annihilated by the Black Sea Fleet.

Crimea and Sevastopol have a “yellow” level of terrorism risk and a medium-level response regime.
