Honey Singh today appeared before the court for the domestic violence case filed against him by his wife Shalini Talwar. The Delhi court asked Honey Singh’s parents to appear before the court on September 28. Along with Honey Singh his parents were also accused in the domestic violence case filed by Shalini Talwar. Shalini’s demand for compensation of ₹20 crore will also be heard on the next hearing date.

In the court Shalini claimed that she was thrown out of the matrimonial home on March 20, Honey Singh claimed that Shalini left the house on March 16 at her own will.

Shalini will visit her matrimonial home on Sunday with two lawyers and the protection officer to take her belongings from Honey Singh’s house. The entire visit will be captured on camera. Both Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar have agreed to this visit.

The interim order restrained Honey Singh from disposing of their jointly owned property, his wife’s Stridhan, etc. Both the parties have been asked to submit their bank statement, ITR and income statements.

In the complaint, Shalini has sought a compensation of ₹20 crores, return of her dowry and has also demanded ₹4 lakh per month for a fully furnished house at a prominent location in Delhi. Her plea will be heard in the next hearing of the court.

Honey Singh’s wife, Shalini Talwar had filed a case of domestic violence, mental harassment, financial fraud and sexual violence against the 38-year-old musician, his parents and his younger sister in the Delhi’s ‘Tis Hazari court on August 3. She had also asked for Rs 20 crore as compensation from him under the Protection of Women From Domestic Violence Act.

In the complaint, Shalini Talwar has accused Honey Singh of going to extreme lengths to hide the fact that he was married, cheated on her and became addicted to alcohol and drugs. She said he had ‘casual sex with multiple women’ and would not take her on his singing tours.

Previously, Honey Singh, in a statement, denied all the allegations against him and his family. He called them ‘false and malicious’ and expressed he is ‘deeply pained’ and ‘distressed’ by them.
