On 8th July, Amazon Prime Video announced a special 8 days entertainment extravaganza to celebrate ‘Prime Day 2021’ and the celebration is expected to be on the 26th and 27th of July.
The OTT platform announced a grand three-part musical special on the ‘Prime Day Show’ that will be featuring multi-award-winning artists Billie Eilish, H.E.R., and Kid Cudi. The special will consist of three unique musical exclusives that fuse performance and storytelling, transporting fans to worlds inspired by Paris, The Dunbar Hotel, and outer space.
PRIME DAY SHOW x BILLIE EILISH – Directed by Billie Eilish and Sam Wrench, this special features new music from Billie’s upcoming album, Happier Than Ever and is set in France.
PRIME DAY SHOW x H.E.R. – The second episode is a musical tribute to the iconic Dunbar Hotel. H.E.R. imagines what The Dunbar Hotel, which has hosted some of the most prominent figures of its time, including musicians Duke Ellington, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, and many more, would be like if it existed in 2021 featuring new music from her album, Back Of My Mind.
PRIME DAY SHOW x KID CUDI – Set in outer space, Kid Cudi will leave Earth to depart on his biggest mission in the third episode of the musical special. Featuring music from his album Man on the Moon III, Cudi collaborates with the International Space Orchestra, the world’s first orchestra composed of space scientists from NASA Ames Research Center, the SETI Institute, and the International Space University as his backing band.
The OTT platform will also be premiering eight of its most anticipated titles across 240+ countries and territories in six different languages. The menu for this big entertainment feast that Amazon Prime Video includes Farhan Akhtar starrer sports-drama – Toofaan, Political thriller – Malik, Kannada comedy-drama set during the times of the Covid 19 pandemic – Ikkat, Tamil sports drama set in the backdrop of the 1970s Madras – Sarpatta, The funny and relatable life inside an engineering hostel in India – Hotel Daze Season 2, The legendary animated rivalry – Tom & Jerry, and American biographical drama film – Judas and Black Messiah.
All these titles will be available in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, and Bengali and will cost nothing for Amazon Prime members.
