“Today (…) close to 5 a.m., the occupants hit with maneuvering missiles at the energy production facility in the Chervonohrad region. There are two fire outbreaks. Firefighters and specialist equipment are working at the scene. There is no threat to people living nearby,” he added.

“The attack occurred near the border with Poland. Kozycki informed that the Russians also targeted another critical infrastructure facility in the area of the city of Stryi. At the moment, there are no fatalities or injuries in our region,” emphasized the official.

“Over 50 missiles and more than 20 ‘Shahed’ drones targeted infrastructure in the Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions,” wrote Volodymyr Zelenskyy the President of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko stated that Russian forces attacked power generation and transmission facilities in the Poltava, Kirovograd, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia regions. According to the Ukrainian energy company DTEK, three thermal power facilities were attacked by Russia, resulting in significant equipment damage.

Poland issued a warning message to residents, particularly those in the southeastern area, about the possibility of increased noise levels. The reason was the intense activity of Polish and allied aircraft operating in the country’s airspace, which was associated with missile strikes carried out on targets located in Ukrainian territory.
