CAE delivers the first Mission Trainer for UK Royal Air Force MQ-9B Protector RG Mk 1 crews

The entry level UK Royal Air Force (RAF) MQ-9B Protector RG Mk 1 aircrew will undergo training on the SkyGuardian Mission Trainer.

Canadian flight training company CAE has delivered the first MQ-9B SkyGuardian Mission Trainer to the General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) owned Flight Test and Training Center (FTTC). The training facility is located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Mission Trainer provides realistic synthetic mission training for the pilots and sensor operator aircrews on the GA-ASI SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).

The entry level UK Royal Air Force (RAF) MQ-9B Protector RG Mk 1 aircrew will undergo training on the SkyGuardian Mission Trainer. In partnership with GA-ASI, the RAF will conduct training at the FTTC to learn how to operate the Protector RPA system.

The RAF bought the MQ-9B SkyGuardian as part of the PROTECTOR RG Mk1 programme.

CAE has delivered Predator Mission Trainer’s to Italian Air Force and UAE Airforce.
