Akshay Kumar turns 54 today. The actor seems really emotional as he will celebrate his birthday without his mom. Akshay Kumar lost his mother Aruna Bhatia to ill health on Wednesday. A day after her death, he said that she must be singing Happy birthday to him from right ‘up there’.
The actor shared a throwback picture with his mom and wrote a heartfelt caption. He wrote, “Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.”
Akshay Kumar is trying to be strong as he says ‘Life goes on’ but he also misses his late mom. Akshay’s mother was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hiranandani Hospital. She died on Wednesday morning. The actor felt unbearable pain as she was his core strength.
He took to Instagram to share the news and expressed his grief.
“She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti,” he wrote.
Aruna Bhatia’s last rites were held on Wednesday afternoon at Pawan Hans crematorium in suburban Mumbai. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Riteish Deshmukh, Sajid Khan, Rohit Shetty, and Ramesh Taurani, attended the funeral.
Akshay’s many friends and industry colleagues came out to support the actor and shared their condolences on their respective social media handles.
Actor Salman Khan said, “Dear Akki, very sad to hear of the passing of your mother. May she rest in peace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family.”
Ajay Devgn, Nimrat Kaur, Vikas Bahl, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and others also took to their respective social media handles to mourn the loss of Akshay Kumar’s mother and share their condolences with the actor and his family.
