Mike Tyson, the boxing icon, will appear in Dharma Productions’ highly anticipated film ‘Liger,’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.

The production company revealed on their official Twitter accounts that their much-anticipated film will also include boxing legend, Muhammad Ali. The announcement comes just a day before the birthday of the film’s director, Puri Jagannadh.

The production company tweeted, “Shared a video presenting the master of the ring.” “Introducing the ringmaster to Indian audiences! We are thrilled to announce that the incredible @MikeTyson has joined the cast of #Liger! #NamasteTyson #HbdPuriJagannadh”

At the age of 20, the professional boxer became the sport’s youngest heavyweight champion. He is largely regarded as one of the all-time great heavyweight boxers.

‘Liger,’ which was supposed to be released in five languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam – on September 9th, was also postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases at the time.

Karan Johar, who co-produced the film with Vijay, revealed the film’s official poster earlier this month. In the film, Vijay plays the role of a boxer.

Puri Jagannadh will direct the film, which will star Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy, among others. Charmme Kaur and the director’s production company Puri Connects co-produced it.
