The Puerto Rican urban artist Bad Bunny used his voice to narrate an ad in an Adidas video, in English, dedicated to the Argentine soccer player Lionel Messi, and available from this Saturday on the sports brand’s social networks.
The 30-second long ad, titled “The Impossible is Nothing,” opens with images of Messi’s hometown of Rosario, followed by an old video of Messi playing soccer and scoring a goal.
The narration says “Lionel Messi saw possibilities to be more than the greatest footballer ever. That through the power of sport, he could bring possibilities to people everywhere and change the game, touch by touch. Where will your story begin?”
Messi has been the face of the German shoe brand since 2007. In 2017, Messi inked a lifetime deal with Adidas which earns him $25 million yearly.
Messi 16, Messi 10 and Adizero F50 are the models Messi is associated with.
Nike brand ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo, Puma’s Neymar and Lionel Messi have massive audiences on social media. These players bring together about 500 million + audience for Nike, Puma and Adidas. Ronaldo earns about $47 million annually from the Nike sponsorship deals. Neymar earns about $25 million from Puma yearly.
