It’s never too late to sharpen the tools in your toolbox and these actors just prove to us that.

Although these actors would have started as small, now are known as big names in the Bollywood industry. Here is the list of some actors who have drastically improved in their careers.

Abhishek Bachchan

Being the son of a legend did not help him. Completing sixteen years in the industry and being featured in over 50 films is a great score. But still, Abhishek Bachchan is not considered in the same league as his competitors. He started his career with JP Dutta’s ‘refugee’ also starring Kareena Kapoor, which was indeed a good start. But then, with some despicable films, his career tumbled downhill.

He’s indeed not a poor actor; rather, he has proved his utter brilliance in several films such as Yuva, Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, etc. But then, it seems Abhishek was bound to be caged by “great expectations” that would hover around him for years and years.

With the biggest shoes to fill, we criticised Abhishek Bachchan a lot at the beginning of his career. Lately, with films like Ludo and Manmarziyan he has possibly been the best version of himself as an artist.

Kunal Khemu

Kunal Khemu has been active in the Bollywood industry for a long time.

He started his career as a child actor and in 1993 he made his Bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s movie ‘Sir’. At 14, he gave up acting to concentrate on his studies. Apart from this, he started his career as a lead actor from the Kalyug Movie in the year 2005. His comedy was appreciated in multi starrer movies like ‘Golmaal’. As a lead actor, he may not have achieved much, but his acting skills in the films have been noticed.

Kunal Khemu said during an interview, “I cannot say that I am an underrated actor but I will definitely say that I am underutilized as an actor. I know that I can do more as a performer. I have a lot to offer. I feel that my ability is much higher than what audiences have seen me in films. Or it may be that my fans who appreciate my work know that I am a versatile actor.”

However, with his involvement in the latest movies, he has proved to be a versatile actor. From being one of the actors in a multi starrer to being a highlight of absolutely any film that he is a part of, Kunal Khemu has come a long way. This is definitely growth!

Bobby Deol

Talk about successful comebacks. Bobby Deol’s latest show, Ashram is an absolute banger. He plays the sinister role perfectly and we can’t wait to watch more of him.

The actor started his Bollywood career with the film Barsaat in 1995. Bobby Deol received nationwide recognition and also the Filmfare Best debut award for his first film. But soon after doing some best roles as an actor in various films, he started getting short roles as a side actor.

Bobby’s career came to a standstill after acting in a series of flops. He disappeared from films and suddenly his presence on the screen was reduced to zero. Bobby stopped getting work and got addicted to alcohol.

He made a comeback through the OTT platforms after consecutive flops. The actor appeared in Netflix’s Film Class of 83 and MX Player series Ashram in the year 2020. Bobby, who plays Baba in the ashram, was well appreciated by the audience. Bobby Deol got a re- identification with OTT.

Aditya Roy Kapur

Aditya Roy Kapur has always been an amazing actor, but his acting was highly appreciated in his latest projects. His performance in kalank, Ludo, and Malang indeed shows a lot of growth.

He made his Bollywood debut with 2009 film London Dreams but rose to fame with the 2013 film Aashiqui 2. He was highly appreciated for his acting skills in the movie and also received a Filmfare award for best actor in 2014. Following this, Aditya Roy Kapur went on to star in Action Replayy (2010), alongside Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, and in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic saga, Guzaarish (2010), starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. As luck would have it, both of these weren’t huge box office successes either. Soon after that his movies ‘fitoor’ and ‘ok jaanu’ were also not much appreciated by the audience. He again rose to fame by his role in Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani as Ranbir’s quintessential best friend and received great appreciation for his role in the movie Kalank.

If there’s any actor who has gone through ups and downs in his career, it is indeed Aditya Roy Kapur. And now he just seems to be going up, up and up away. Fans seem to be excited about his upcoming movie Ek Villian 2.
