Paris Saint-Germain has formalized the signing of Lionel Messi “with a two-year contract and an option for another season.” In the late evening of Tuesday, PSG announced the Argentinian Footballer in Paris to undergo medical examinations and then sign the contract.
The former Barcelona player received a very warm welcome at the airport, at the Parco Dei Principi and hotel that hosts the family. The signing of the six-time Golden Ball “reinforces the ambitions of Paris Saint-Germain and gives the club fans an exceptional team that promises to create incredible football moments in the years to come”, said the Parisian club.
“I am looking forward to starting a new chapter of my career in Paris,” said Messi after the signing.”
“I know how talented there is in this team and in this staff and I am determined to build, together with them, something great for the club and for the fans. I can’t wait to take the field at the Parco Dei Principi,” he added.

PSG has already bagged Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Messi has played for Spain’s Barcelona since 2004.But, the club announced on August 5 that it would not sign a new contract with its star player because of financial rules of the Spanish championship.
