Saint-Germain sends a contract to Lionel Messi

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports a new development regarding the transfer of Argentine star Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the newspaper, Messi is at his home in Barcelona to review his contract with Saint-Germain, noting that the representatives of the Argentine player confirmed the news of the arrival of the contract for Saint-Germain.

The newspaper pointed out that Messi is still analyzing and reviewing  the terms of the contract because there are items that must be looked at carefully, such as the annual salary because the numbers in circulation are incorrect. It said that Messi is also studying the rights to the images because he owned them in FC Barcelona, in addition to that the player deals with a clothing company while Saint-Germain is contracted with another company.

The newspaper indicated that Messi will not travel to Paris until his father and his lawyers agree to the Saint-Germain contract.

Earlier, the Spanish media sources had revealed that Argentine football star Lionel Messi is negotiating with French club Paris Saint-Germain after his departure from Barcelona.

The Spanish sports program Cuatro reported that Messi spoke with his compatriot Mauricio Pochettino, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, after it was confirmed that he had left Barcelona.

The program indicated that after Messi and Pochettino contacted the French club, the French club immediately began negotiations with the representatives of the Argentine star regarding resolving the next deal, explaining that Saint-Germain provided Messi with all guarantees against the tax and legal problems that the player suffered for years in Spain.

Barcelona had officially announced yesterday that Messi will not continue with the club due to economic problems and the salary cap law in the Spanish League.
