‘Writing a new chapter of life, now as a producer’ – Taapsee Pannu

From Badla to Thappad and Haseen dilruba, Taapsee is known for her back-to-back hits. After almost a decade in the Btown Industry, she is ready to enter a new chapter of her life as a producer with ‘Outsider Films’.

Taapsee Pannu took to her social media handles to make the big announcement about her new venture. Enlivened with the new production house Taapsee wrote, “I am thrilled to embark upon this new journey and diversify my love for cinema with my production house ‘Outsiders Films’. Having my business ventures, management comes naturally to me. Hence, I always thought of setting my own production house.

“The audience and the industry have given me a lot of support and love over the 11 years of my career. With Outsiders Films, I aim to give back to the industry and empower talent who are looking for a breakthrough and come with no background like me. Pranjal and I together look forward to opening doors for new and fresh talents, both in front and behind the camera,” she added.

Taapsee also shared the first film on slate ‘blur’ which will be a thriller genre starring Taapsee. She will be working along with Pranjal Khandhdiya who is a content creator and producer for over 20 years and has been involved in production with some of the universally loved movies like Piku, Mubarakan, Azhar etc.

 While some of the netizens really appreciated the new production house as the name ‘Outsider films’ highly interested them as it will give an opportunity for new talents, but some of the netizens didn’t get much excited by this big announcement and started trolling Taapsee for imitating Kangana Ranaut. Kangana too launched her production house ‘Manikarnika’ this year and netizens feel Taapsee is blatantly copying her.
