India will soon have adequate SSBNs and they will not need to move much away from the Indian shores to fire Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBM) covering entire China and other adversaries. In an interview with Frontier India, Cmde Arun Kumar (retd.), a veteran submariner who served on India’s first nuclear submarine INS Chakra (Chakra 1), Foxtrot submarines, Sishumar submarines and Kilo submarines; and was the Principal Director Submarine Acquisition (PDSMAQ) at the NHQ during the acquisition of Scorpene submarine, spoke about the future of Indian SSBN strategic submarine fleet.
